Dimapur, May 23: District level assessment camp for children with special needs was organized by district Mission Authority ( DMA) Kiphire in collaboration with Starkey New Delhi, Medical Department and Social Welfare Department at EBRC hall Kiphire town on May 22.The assessment camp was conducted for children with special needs for visually impaired, locomotors disability, hearing impairment problems. Assistive devices were provided to all the special needs children as per their needs after the assessment camp.
Deputy Mission director, SSA Talitemsu Jamir called upon all beneficiaries to utilize their assistive devices with care. Around 100 children with special needs got their assistive devices on the spot.
Mokokchung: Assessment camp for differently abled children for Mokokchung district was conducted on May 18 at EBRC Mokokchung village. The camp was organized to provide assistive devices to the needy children.
Altogether 107 children were assessed out of which 46 of them have been prescribed for aids & appliances. Hearing aids from Star Key Foundation were provided on the spot to the needy children during the inaugural programme.
The programme was chaired by Imkongwabang, Project Assistant, DMA, Mokokchung.
