ASHAs continuously working during lockdown

Dimapur, May 10: During this lockdown, when most villages and wards were sealed, the ASHAs under Dimapur District have been continuously working within their respective villages. These ASHAs who are voluntary link workers and also one of the identified front line workers for COVID-19 have been carrying out their daily responsibilities besides spreading awareness on COVID-19.
Even during this lockdown, ASHAs continued to provide house-to-house new born care services and keeping track of the pregnant women in their villages.
The ASHAs are also demonstrating hand washing techniques and spreading awareness on COVID-19 in their respective villages. They are also providing care packages to the aged, widows, pregnant women, new born, and the needy in their villages with their own expenses.
