Dimapur, July 28: In pursuant to the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) in various locations of Kohima district, DC Kohima Shanava C IAS has notified the following areas as Infected Zones and Surveillance Zones.
Infected Zone: Khuzama Village (1km radius of infected premises); Surveillance Zone: 10 km radius from the infected premises (9km radius outside the infected zones).
Infected Zone: Chiechama Village (1km radius of infected premises); Surveillance Zone: 10Km radius from the infected premises (9km radius outside the infected zones).
The DC ordered ban on slaughter of pigs; ban on import and export of pigs and piglets; ban on transportation of pigs and pork in the infected and surveillance zones. (Page News Service)
