Kohima, February 16: The Western Angami Sports Association (WASA) today broke the drought of gold medal at the ongoing 50th Meet of Angami Sports Association (ASA).
WASA won its first gold medal by winning the champions title in men’s Sepaktakraw by defeating Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) at Indira Gandhi Stadium here.
In women’s Sepaktakraw, Chakroma Youth Organisation (CYO) won the gold while SASA bagged silver.
Meanwhile, NASA continues to remain on the top of medals tally hauling 47 medals with 17 Gold, 19 Silver and 11 Bronze.
Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) has 28 medals with 9 Gold, 9 Silver and 10 Bronze is in second position while Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) is third with two Gold and one each silver and bronze medals.
On Thursday the finals of football for men and volleyball for both men & women and Indoor Games will be held.
