AR apprehends NSCN (IM) & NNC (NA) cadres

Dimapur, May 5: Dimapur Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) established check post along with a police representative based on specific information in general area Khermahal, Dimapur Golaghat road and Burma camp Dimapur district on May 4.
During the search Assam Rifles troops apprehended two persons of NSCN(IM) and NNC(NA) faction in illegal possession of incriminating documents and weapons .
The individuals were identified as Abel Chopy, Under Secy NNC/ (NA) and Robito Ashumi of NSCN(IM). The recoveries from the individuals included, one veh yearly tax slip, two extortion slips, cash Rs 4,160 and one point 32mm pistol, two work permits of NSCN(IM), one extortion slip NSCN(IM) and cash worth Rs 23,110 respectively.
The individuals alongwith recovered items were handed over to West Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
IMFL seized
Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) established a check post in general area Merapani Foothill Road on May 5.
During the search of suspected vehicle Assam Rifles troops recovered illegal 2760 bottles of IMFL, Rum Mc Dowel, worth rupees 6,90,000 from the two individuals. The individuals were identified as Rilanthung Odyuo (33) and Atheo Odyuo(27).
The individuals along with recovered items were handed over to Bhandari police station.
Ammunition seized
Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted an operation along with a police representative in general area Church colony, Wokha on May 4.
During the search of a suspected house Assam Rifles troops apprehended one individual in possession of illegal ammunition. The individual was identified as Yanimthung Ezung (46), s/o Nchupomo Ezung resident of House No -56, Church colony, Wokha.
The recoveries from the individual included one 9mm live round, five Point 22 live rounds and one unidentified explosive .
The individual along with recovered items was handed over to Wokha Police station for further investigation. (Page News Service)
