Apna Poorvottar Mega Cultural event at Allahabad

Dimapur, December 22: The Sanskar Bharati Nagaland has informed that Apna Poorvottar, a 45- day long cultural and social festival would showcase and promote the cultural heritage, tradition, custom, festival, food habits, folk dance, music, instruments, arts, theater, handloom, handicrafts, tourist places, history, great personalities and natural beauty of entire North Eastern states through different mode of cultural and Artistic presentation at Allahabad from January 12 to March 4.
With the initiatives of the Sanskar Bharati Nagaland chapter and in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture New Delhi, various artiste and cultural dance troupe from 16 indigenous tribe of more than 350 artiste from Nagaland will be participating in this 45 days long mega event.
The aim of participation in this program is to help promote our Naga culture to all states of India and the surrounding neighboring countries through cultural dances and various participation.
Inaugural ceremony would be held on January 12 where two cultural dance troupe from Ao and Sumi community would participate.
January 20 to 23 is allotted as Nagaland Special Day where all the 16 indigenous tribes will be presenting their own cultural dances.
‘Intellectuals Meet’ would be held on February 12-14 on the theme “Connect to Scholars” where seminars would be held on literature, art and culture.
From February 15 to 19, there would be Theater Festival where Hills Theater of Nagaland will participate. (Page News Service)
