Anti-Child Labour Day observed at Longleng

Dimapur, June 16: Longleng Anti-Child Labour Day was observed at Mount Carmel School on June 12 under the theme “Children shouldn’t work in fields but on dreams”. The programme was organized by Sakhi-One Stop Centre, Longleng.
The main objective of the programme was to raise the plight of child labourers worldwide. During the event, counselor of Sakhi-One Stop Centre Nyangyungsangla Phom spoke on the significance of Anti-Child Labour Day. She emphasized on various international child rights and constitutional rights of the children.
Centre Administrator, C. Henchem Phom highlighted the functioning of Sakhi- One Stop Centre, women centric issues and rights, while Women Welfare Officer of Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) appraised on various support and assistance for women under the MSK & Beti Bachao Beti Padao.
