ANTA Kohima honours 20 HSLC & HSSLC first div. children of taxi drivers

Kohima, June 10: The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Headquarter Kohima today honoured 20 children of taxi drivers in Kohima district for passing out in first division in the recently declared HSLC and HSSLC examinations under Nagaland Board of School Education.
Of the total, 11 have passed the Class 10 and 9 cleared Class 12 examinations.
Speaking on the occasion, ANTA Hq Kohima president Dziesevituo Solo while congratulating the successful students also lauded the efforts of their parents and ANTA members for their hard work as taxi drivers.
He encouraged the youngsters to avoid wrong companions and learn to say ‘NO’ in order to be successful in life.
“Education is your essence and no one can take it from you,” he said while encouraging them to give their best and bring laurels to their parents and also ANTA.
Sharing his life experience as a taxi driver and also butcher, he encouraged the ANTA members not to be ashamed as taxi drivers because they are making their livelihood through dignity of labour.
ANTA Hq Kohima general secretary Meyieho Hibo said that the present world has become very competitive in all spheres but one should not be ashamed of taking up work. He also encouraged them not to forget the hardships faced by their parents to help them get quality education.
Also congratulating the successful students, he wished them a bright future.
Hibo also appealed to the parents not to be complacent with the success of their children but continue to mould them in the right direction even in the future.
ANTA Action Committee convenor Viraseo Chakruno, Alika Shohe w/o of ANTA president Solo and ANTA member Sumi Singh also spoke on the occasion congratulating the successful students and also lauding the endeavours of ANTA Hq Kohima officials.
ANTA Hq Kohima vice president Elho Kin chaired the programme, Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church , Avilie Punyu offered prayers while Vetholu Rhakho enthralled the gathering with special number and secretary to ANTA Hq Kohima treasurer, Victor Rutsa delivered the vote of thanks.
