ANPSA Dimapur felicitates HSLC, HSSLC toppers

ANPSA felicitates

Dimapur, August 17: The All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) Dimapur unit today felicitated the triumphant HSLC and HSSLC NBSE Exam Toppers, 2021 at Holy Cross auditorium with Y.Kikheto Sema, IAS, Agriculture Production Commissioner as special guest and Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS DC (Deputy Commissioner) of Dimapur as a guest of honor.

Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS congratulated the toppers and said that the felicitation program is one of the most important he has attended because of the opportunity to meet 72 toppers from Dimapur who are going to be the hope and future leaders of our society in the days to come.
He said that student’s hard work and determination brought the felicitation which is an honor for them, teachers, school, parents, and society. He said that he was happy to see the overall performance of schools from Dimapur, where out of 80, 42 toppers from HSLC were from Dimapur, and for HSSLC, out of 42, 30 toppers were from Dimapur.
“We should all be proud claiming that Dimapur is also the gateway of having the best private schools, the best teachers, the best parents, and the best students in the state of Nagaland,” he added.
He also encouraged the students to have faith, fear, and obey God, obey their teachers and parents as well.
Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS said that interacting with students, in general, is one of the most interesting functions he looks forward to attending.
While congratulating the students for their achievement, the Deputy Commissioner also talked about his early schooling days and how he faced trouble in following his passion because he lacked confidence and fear of failing, and how he overcame his fear of failure to be the person he is today.
He said, “The actual competition is not with the fellow student sitting beside you, but the actual competition is within yourself.”
He encouraged the students to compete with themselves and not to get carried away by misnomers that they are inferior to others.
He also encouraged the students to focus on their success and goals by making short-term and long-term plans to follow while making their way towards their goals. He advised them to be hardworking, patient, and pursuant as it is important and to develop a habit, saying that the power of habit does not make you feel the pinch of hurt.
Soundararajan further said, “Whatever success you have, achieve now, it’s just the beginning and there is much more in life to come. Keep aiming for more and keep raising the bar; excel in your chosen field, make yourself proud, and the school proud and become an all-rounder personality.”

Earlier, in his welcome speech, ANPSA Dimapur unit president, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema said that it was a privilege for ANPSA to welcome all the guests and invitees for the very special occasion as it is a first. He congratulated all the toppers for their achievements and encouraged them to become a person of integrity, disciplined, and a person who will always be standing for upright.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Bendangchuba, President of Chumukedima sub unit ANPSA, felicitation was conducted by the guest of honor and special guest. The program was compered by Aggya Thapa.
