Angami Sekrenyi cum Mini-Hornbill festival on Feb 25

Dimapur, February 22: The Angami Sekrenyi cum Mini-Hornbill festival will be celebrated at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama with Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio as special guest on February 25.
In this connection, a meeting was convened by Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS with all frontal units under Angami Public Organisation (APO) along with district administrative officers and related government departments on February 22.
The meeting held in DC’s Conference Hall Kohima was attended by Angami Public Organisation (APO), Angami Women Organisation (AWO), Angami Gazette Officer Krotho (AGOK), Angami Student Union (ASU) and government officials.
Chairing the meeting, DC informed the members on the earmarked amount received from the government for the festival, which was later handed over to APO for organising the festival. He invited the members to share their suggestions on how best it can celebrate in a befitting manner.
APO enlightened the members on the status of preparation and arrangements made at Kisama as per the norms laid down by the government. It also informed that the festival will be a two day affairs with cultural activities where day one will be held at Kisama and day two will be at Touphema Tourist Village on February 26.
AGOK and other members also shared their views and suggestions during the meeting.
