Dimapur, October 24: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has appealed to the Chief Minister of Nagaland to settle the Kohima Science College Jotsoma (KSCJ) land encroachment issue on priority.
In a representation to the Chief Minister, the ANCSU reminded that in response to its earlier memorandum on the KSCJ land encroachment issue, the Chief Minister’s Office had responded positively on August 15 to bring out a survey report on KSCJ within six weeks.
ANCSU, however, lamented that despite the district administration submitting the survey report to the State Government a month back, the district administration is unable to go ahead awaiting the directive from the State Government – the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Acknowledging the state Government for having heard the students’ grievances, the ANCSU appealed to the Chief Minister to seriously take into consideration the issue and give necessary directives to the district administration for early settlement of the issue. It expressed optimism that unlike the bygone years, the State Government will not shy away from delivering justice to the students’ community without any delay tactics.
