DIMAPUR, MARCH 15: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has served yet another ultimatum to the department of Higher and Technical Education, in connection with vacant posts and scholarship.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary of Higher and Technical Education, the union appreciated the department for requisitioning 105 Assistant Professors and Librarian posts to NPSC.
“However, the union is displeased at the lackadaisical approach on the remaining 5 Assistant Professor posts for College of Teachers Education which was withheld for conversion/review/exchange,’ the ANCSU stated.
It demanded the department to requisition the remaining posts to NPSC within 1 month (w.e.f March 15).
Also, the union expressed dismay at the “department’s inaction” towards the nodal cell for all scholarship schemes, which was notified for establishment on October 25, 2019.
It demanded that the nodal cell be made functional within 1 month.
The union urged the Secretary to address the matter on priority in order to “avoid any unavoidable confrontation”. (Page News Service)
