DIMAPUR, JUNE 8: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has urged the Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University to act on a representation the Union had submitted on October 10 last year.
Stating that it has seen no positive development towards the issues raised last year, ANCSU issued yet another memorandum to the VC today.
“It is without doubt that we are undergoing an unprecedented situation and normal functioning of the University is probably affected. Despite the herculean task rested upon the Nagaland University during this unsettled period, we are still confident on the extraordinary execution of works by the NU over the years amid any situation. Having said that, the issues raised by the Union on the 1/10/2020 must be prioritized and necessary action should be taken in par with other issues”, it stated.
In its October 10, 2020 representation, the Union had pushed for more colleges offering PG courses, facilitation centres at NU Merima Campus and SETM Dimapur Campus, appointment of Assistant/Associate Professors, issuing of meritorious certificate and medal, and timely release of pass certificate and migration certificate.
It expressed hope for timely action from the University in order “to avoid any confrontation”.
