ANCSU launches online poster campaign against UGC examination guidelines

Kohima, July 29: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union has denounced and demanded the immediate withdrawal of guidelines on mandatory conduct of exam issued by University Grants Commission and Ministry of Human Resources Development on July 6.
Stating that it values the lives of students’ over examinations, ANCSU declared that it will be protesting against the guidelines issued by UGC & MHRD through an online poster campaign.
The Student’s Union said, ever since the world has been hit by the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Human Resources Development seem to have forgotten the value of life; thereby imposing restrictions for the universities and colleges to conduct and complete exams by the end of September, 2020.
ANCSU also appealed to all to participate in the campaign through a press release where it said “Kindly share the attached posters over social media and may our genuine voices be heard to the UGC & MHRD.”
Mentioning that the July 6 UGC guideline has been challenged by a large section of the students, faculties, universities and state governments as well, ANCSU said it was a clarion call to impress upon the UGC and MHRD to withdraw the UGC Guidelines on mandatory conduct of exams by the end of September 2020.
