ANCSU bats for meritocracy & fair competition

Nagaland

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 4: While acknowledging the setting up of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) today vowed to object and ‘encounter’ any element that obstructs the rational implementation of the NSSB. It also impressed upon the state Government to implement the NSSB at the earliest.
In a press release issued by its president, Vimeyiekho Vitso, vice president, Inato Y Chisho and general secretary, Imnameren Jamir, the Union said as no civilization is forbidden to enhance one’s academic knowledge and experiences, through educational institutions or otherwise, it must be the endeavour of all to avoid illogical demand(s) that demeans the efficiency of a qualified aspirant.
The ANCSU asserted that certain section of the society needs special attention, but the Union cannot be quiescent when the structure of meritocracy and fair competition is to be overshadowed taking such advantages.
Stating that the youths and youngsters celebrate with gratefulness to the present-day Government for setting up the NSSB, the Union implored the state Government to apply good sense of judgment impartially and rationally that benefits Naga society as a whole and not bow down to short sighted irrational and unethical demands, which would vanquish the very purpose of NSSB.
