ANCSU asks legislators to detach attached teachers within 15 days

Dimapur, June 11: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has served an ultimatum to all legislators of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly to detach all attached teachers with the VIPs within 15 days.
The Union said it is against attachment of teachers with VIPs in any manner.
It said it has requested the concerned department in good faith, but despite several appeals and representation served, some legislators are still exercising attachment of teachers with them.
In a representation to the legislators, ANCSU president, Katho P Awomi and education secretary, Kruto Tetseo stated that teachers are supposed to be teaching in their posted institutions for the upliftment and progress of the students in particular and institution at large.
The union appealed to the legislators to take this matter seriously and not to attach any teachers with them under any condition or understanding and detach the aforementioned within 15 days intently if there is any as this would directly affect the institution jeopardizing the welfare of the students’ community.
The office of the ANCSU would be vigilant in this regard and would not compromise under any condition that would hamper the students’ welfare, it added. (Page News Service)
