Dimapur, September 6: The ANATG-2015 Batch has rejected the enhancement of fixed pay salary which was announced on August 29 last.
In a letter to the Principal Secretary, School Education, the ANTG-2005 batch stated the government’s decision for enhancement of fixed pay salary has been enforced without any consideration of its sole demand, i.e. regularization, which has been made known to the government time and again.
It pointed out that the Government of Nagaland has granted Scale of Pay to the Graduate Teachers and Primary Teachers appointed with effect from July 1, 2017 Vide order NO: DSE/ADHOC-SALARY/2015 dated Kohima the 13th October 2017 and as such enhancing the Meager Fixed pay salary of GTs & PTs is an appeasement of the injustice to the adhoc teachers who has been serving since prior to 31st December 2012 @ 8400/- PM( GT) & 6700/-PM( PT).
It said the 1166 adhoc teachers appeared the suitability test for regularization and not for enhancement of fixed pay salary to double fixed pay salary neither for scale of pay and added that their demand is regularization.
In the letter, ANATG-2015 batch president, Ruguotsolie and general secretary, Pekato Zhimomi further stated that the 1166 Adhoc Teachers who were appointed against the vacant state sanctioned post prior to 31st December 2012 were granted a meager fixed pay salary and yet they never protested against it. But the incumbents appointed under the same category with effect from July 1, 2017 were granted Scale of Pay Vide Order NO: DSE/ADHOC-SALARY/2015 dated Kohima the 13th October 2017 .
It said the same yardstick should be applied to all the employees under the same department.
The ANATG-2015 Batch also stated that the act by the Government of granting Scale pay to the incumbents appointed after 1-07-2017 is discriminating in nature as it clearly confirms that the teachers appointed prior to 31st December 2012 are less competent in delivering the same quality of service to the students, which may be ascertained, by the esteemed department.
