Alternate arrangements for lifting essential commodities in Dimapur

Dimapur, April 15: In view of the complete sealing of the wholesale market areas of Murgipatti, Marwaripatti & G S Road, the Committee set up to rationalize the distribution of essential commodities has made alternate arrangements to facilitate the lifting of essential commodities from the designated Wholesale godowns by the various wards, sadar villages and sub-divisions under Dimapur district. Special vehicle permit for the same would be issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur.
For the rest of the other districts, the respective Deputy Commissioner will issue the require number of permits for trucks as indicated in Annexure-I for lifting of the essential commodities from their designated godowns.
The distribution of essential commodities would commence from April 16.

  • A maximum of 2 (two) Tata Mobile per day would be allowed for each Ward under DMC.
  • A maximum of 2 (two) Tata Mobile per day would be allowed per village under Sadar Area.
  • A maximum of 4 (four) trucks per day would be allowed for Chumukedima which will cover Dhansiripar, Niuland, Kuhuboto, Medziphema.
  • A maximum of 5 (five) Trucks for Kohima district, 3 (Three) Trucks each for Wokha, Zunheboto and Phek District, 2 (two)Trucks each for Peren and Kiphire District would be allowed per day.
  • Timing for loading of essential commodities from the above mentioned Godowns would be from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Distribution of essential commodities will commence from 16th of April 2020
