ALS coaching centre launched at Tetso College

Dimapur, July 20: ALS Coaching Centre, India’s largest IAS coaching network, was launched today at Tetso College on 20th July 2018 by the Principal, Dr. P.S. Lorin and Jojo Mathews, founder of ALS and a renowned IAS mentor. Credit also went to Imdong Anar, Regional Manager – EAST of ALS and alumnus of Tetso College for initiating steps to help set up the centre at Tetso.
Jojo Mathews stated that cracking the civil service exams is a test of four important things – information, which is the preliminary stage of learning; knowledge – on how to write a good answer and apply the information; personality, character and integrity and wisdom – on how to tackle all the problems in the country that include how to handle politicians, mobs or any other difficult situations.
He encouraged students to develop the habit of reading the newspapers everyday to learn general knowledge, however added that reading alone doesn’t help. One should be able to convert that reading into knowledge, which also requires one to develop a good memory power, an essential for cracking the exams. The next step is knowing how to apply that knowledge.
The ALS centre at Tetso College will begin its first batch of classes from August 2018. The coaching centre is open for all interested individuals and not exclusive to only Tetso students. ALS also mentioned that scholarship tests will be held on July 25 in order to provide opportunity to all individuals irrespective of their financial background to enrol. (Page News Service)
