All legislators have huge  responsibilities to deliver: CM

Dimapur, April 15: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today sought support from not only the elected members to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly but also from bureaucrats, technocrats, tribal hohos, civil societies and churches in order to deliver the promises made to people.
“We have to be humble and close to God and work through his guidance,” he said.
Bringing greetings at a thanksgiving service of the Nagaland Legislators Christian Fellowship at the State Banquet Hall on Sunday, Rio stated that it is a privilege given by God and people of the State to be given the opportunity. He said that all legislators have huge responsibilities towards God and the people in running the affairs of the State.
He hoped that God will lead and guide the legislators to do the right thing and also assured their commitment to serve the people for the betterment of the society.
Delivering the message, Rev Rachulie Vihienuo stated that all legislators were elected for a greater purpose. He encouraged them to be tolerant of one another and to be just in their work. “As agents of change for Christ, we must successfully engage in living out the values, principals and conditions influenced by in Jesus Christ,” he added.
Rev Vihienuo hoped the dawn of a new era that the people of the State were waiting for begin with newly elected legislators.
The service was chaired by State Chaplin, Rev Kuzierang Thou. Minister, CM Chang proposed the invocation prayer while Minister, Paiwang Konyak read the scriptures. Special song was presented by wives and children of the legislators and Ameu and her choir. (Page News Service)
