AKMWP resumes enforcement of compulsory wearing of mask

402 defaulters penalized on first day
KOHIMA, APRIL 30: A total of 402 defaulters were encountered and penalized in the enforcement of compulsory wearing of mask carried out by Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayat (AKMWP) within Kohima Municipality on Friday, informed President AKMWP Neibulie Kiewhuo.

AKMWP had also carried enforced compulsory wearing of mask last year in November, where 5,380 defaulters were registered on the first day in Kohima, and it has resumed its yeoman services from April 30 in light of the surge in Covid-19 cases with the approval of DC Kohima and Chairman District Task Force.
President AKWMP noted that the association is happy to note that citizens are realizing the importance of wearing masks.
While the compulsory wearing of masks has been carried out in all the 19 wards of Kohima, Kiewhuo informed that no defaulters were found in four wards, namely: Naga Bazar, Officers’ Hill Colony, Midland and PWD. (Page News Service)
