Kohima, November 21: The second week of compulsory wearing of masks enforced by Association of Kohima Municipal Wards Panchayats (AKMWP) registered 3,280 defaulters at Kohima, President AKMWP Neibulue Kiewhuo informed.
He said that as the compulsory enforcement was continued for the second week in all the 19 wards, AKMWP on Saturday registered the highest numbers on one day with 380 defaulters.
Taking into account the increasing number of Covid-19 positive cases and casualties, he maintained that citizens are becoming carefree and are not serious about the fatality caused by the virus.
In this regard, AKMWP once again urged the citizens to understand the importance of wearing face mask to protect themselves and the society at large.
