AKB celebrates Sekrenyi festival

Dimapur, February 25: The Angami Krotho Bengaluru commemorated the Sekrenyi festival on February 24 at the Students Christian Movement of India campus. The event commenced with a traditional song performed by SAIACS students, followed by engaging traditional games.
Nouneseno Punyü, Headmistress of Samsidh International School, Vidyaranyapura Bangalore, graced the occasion as the special guest. In her address, she underscored the significance of Sekrenyi festival celebrations, emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation and the role of language in fostering unity among communities. She advocated for continuous learning and preservation of one’s mother tongue in today’s globalized era.
The event also featured the inauguration of Angami Krotho Bengaluru by Er. Kevilhoubei Yiese and culminating with a feast.
