Akato-led NSCN(R) faction sever ties with NNPGs

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 21: The Akato Chophi led NSCN (R) faction has decided to sever all ties with the NNPGs platform and to remain a “separate entity”.

In a press release, MIP NSCN/GPRN (R) said it had tried to “expedite peace by not reserving any kind of grudges in display of maturity by avoiding personal attacks and character assassinating of leaders.” But it termed as unfortunate “that some few chose to spew venom of prejudicial mentalities who could not compromise with this good faith”.
The release also reaffirmed and reiterated its stand made on November 19, 2021 that “we split from the arbitrary, despotic, dictatorial and unconstitutional functioning of some leaders and their few misguided followers, and to uphold the NSCN Yezabo and party discipline by affirming full support to the dynamic and undisputed leadership of his excellency, the President, NSCN/GPRN (R) Ino Akato Chophi.”
The release also reiterated its stand made on November 19 to maintain unilateral ceasefire with the Government of India.
It further appreciated the maturity of NNPGs leaders and members for trying to bridge the gap on the issue within the NSCN (R) set up. (Page News Service)
