Dimapur, April 28: In view of the rapid surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the State, DC Mon, Thavaseelan K has directed the Village and Ward Task Forces to maintain a list of all the returnees from other States and report to Distract Task Force/Sub-Divisional Task Force every week.
Returnee/traveller who produces negative report of COVID-19 test done not earlier than 3 days prior to arrival in the district would be exempted from quarantine. The returnee/traveller should carry the soft/hard copy of the negative test report and produce it whenever asked by the competent authority.
Every returnee or traveller without the negative test report and are asymptomatic will undergo quarantine for 10 days.
Office, houses sealed
The DC has ordered the sealing of District Transport Office, Mon town for 48 hours, House No. 108, Tanlao Ward, Mon town and House No. 568 A (Ground Floor), Wagiem Ward, Mon town until further orders.
Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable, the DC warned.
In a separate notification, the DC Mon requested all persons who had visited District Planning Office, Mon between April 17 and 23 to self-report to the following numbers: 9862078993/8787645487.
Further, all have been requested to observe COVID-appropriate behaviour at all times and to self-isolate at home.
Buildings sealed in Tobu
The EAC Tobu, Mon has ordered the sealing of Community Health Centre, Tobu and Police Station, Tobu town for 48 hours; MH Store, Bazaar ‘B’, Tobu, BK Pan Shop, Bazaar ‘A’, Tobu town and House no. 302, Bazaar ‘A’, Tobu town until further orders.
Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be penalised as per relevant sections of the law.
