Advisor Zale Neikha inaugurates Fire Station in Khuzama

Khuzama, December 21: Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, Zale Neikha today inaugurated the much needed fire station at Khuzama in Southern Angami area in the presence of Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services and SIRD, Pohwang Konyak.
Speaking on the occasion, Neikha said this is one of the much needed amenities for the public and expressed hope that the department would provide best service to the people in the area and also to neighbouring villages in Manipur.
The present Government led by Neiphiu Rio, is staying true to its motto ‘Facta Non Verba’ (deeds not words) and a lot of developments have been introduced in all corners of Nagaland.
Expressing confidence that the Rio government would retain power in the next elections too, Neikha affirmed that in the coming tenure, more developmental activities will come under Southern Angami-II constituency if they work together in unity to develop it as one family.
He also highlighted some significant changes and developments in the area during this government – construction of High School Building Sakhabama, Kezotown upgraded to Urban Station, Primary School Building at Kezobasa, Approach road from Prayer park, Kidima to Kezoma completed, Primary Health Centre Kidima upgraded to Community Health Centre, approach road from Prayer Park to village with black-topping completed, Viswema Multi-Purpose Hall capacity of 5000 people is currently being constructed and on the verge of completion and approach road in all Khels (sectors) with Black-Topping completed while Khuzama today received the Fire Station.
He also said that with the recently concluded All Nagaland Folksong Competitions, Chief Minister Rio said that the competition will be held here annually in Khuzama from now onwards which will be a great source to the people of Khuzama in terms of revenue generation.
On the opening of the fire station, he said Fire-fighters are first responders who work to protect others in emergency and hazardous situations.
Saying that a fire station needs to be a part of the community, he told the fire-fighters who will be staffing this new Station that the trust of the people of the area is upon them for creating a culture of safety measures in all aspects.
Meanwhile, Neikha lauded Chief Minister Rio and Advisor Pohwang Konyak for introducing a Fire Department at Khuzama which will be the first fire station in the Southern Area.
Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services and SIRD, Pohwang Konyak informed that of the 48 fire stations needed in the state, this is the 21st fire station. Saying that while the fire and emergency service has been set up in Khuzama, he said that ill treatment against the department personnel and damage of property by the public should be avoided.
He also informed that the next fire station would be inaugurated in Phomching area.
He lauded Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio saying that many governments and CMs have come and gone but the Rio government has been working very hard for overall development and progress of the State.
Affirming that the top priority of the government is Naga political solution, he called upon all to work together with Rio for an early political solution because if the situation goes bad it would get worse.
He also wooed the electorates of the area to re-elect local MLA Zale Neikha to be in the government.
Inspector General of Fire & Emergency Services, Neilasa Sopfü informed that the Fire Station Khuzama would not only serve the villages this side but also reach out to the neighbouring border villages in Manipur.
He also said that the department has been entrusted with creating awareness on the safety measures for high raised buildings, for both private and government.
Khuzama Village Chairman Zedil Naleo expressed happiness to the department for providing the facility while Nagaland Information Commissioner Nosazol Charles also exhorted the gathering.
