Advisor Zale calls on Union MoS

Kohima, Aug 24: Nagaland Advisor for Youth Resources & Sports, MLA Zale Neikha today called on the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju at his official residence in New Delhi.
During the meeting, MLA Neikha apprised and highlighted the Union MoS about the plight of the people living in the border areas, which has developed the feeling being neglected and left out.
Such condition, Zale said, becomes a perfect recipe for the youth of the area to fall prey to anti-social elements to vent out their frustrations. The Advisor therefore proposed to set up sports and youth related infrastructure and programmes in the border areas so as to wean the misguided youth from disruptive lifestyle through sports and youth activities which will also motivate the youth to take up employment opportunities thereby improving their economic condition and contribute in the process of Nation building.
Meanwhile, the Union MoS Rijiju has assured Advisor Neikha to take up the above proposals through BADP (Border Area Development Programme) while also affirming full support in perusal of any project proposals of the North East.
Further, Rijiju also stressed on the need for educating and conducting training programmes for MLAs so as to be upto date with the latest policies and programmes of the country. (Page News Service)
