
Dimapur, December 8: Introductory programme in honour of Medo Yhokha, Advisor to Chief Minister for Technical Education and Election Departments was held on December 8 in the Directorate of Technical Education.
Medo Yhokha, Advisor, asserted that the subject matter of Technical Education deals with the career of the youths and hence the future of our State – as such the career of our future generation should not be compromised under any circumstance. He also stressed on the importance of skills development of the youth referring to the Government of India policy “Skill India.”
Imjung M Panger, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary for Higher & Technical Education highlighted the position of staff and officers in the Secretariat as well as in the Directorate of Technical Education. He stressed on streamlining the Department in order to place things in the right perspective so that it will reduce the problems faced by the Department.
Er. Khrieketoulie Rupreo, Deputy Director, gave a Power Point presentation on the main activities of the Department and also highlighted priority works that needs immediate attention.
The short programme started with an invocation by Tiakaba Amer, Project Director, Directorate of Technical Education.
