Dimapur, May 8: Following the outbreak of African Swine Flu (ASF) in Phek and Kiphire districts, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pfutsero has informed the public to remain vigilant and report any unusual mortality of domestic pigs and feral pigs to the office of Assistant Veterinary Surgeon, Pfutsero.
According to the ADC, control, containment, surveillance and following of bio-security measures are the only way to eradicate the disease. The Assistant Veterinary Surgeon of Pfutsero has been directed monitor the situation and create awareness to contain the spread of African Swine Flu. (Page News Service)
