Kohima, June 19: The ongoing sit-in-protest of All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers Group (ANATG) entered the second day today with no response from the State Government.
Over a thousand ad-hoc teachers in the State, who appeared their suitability test on May 20 last year, had on Monday launched their first phase of agitation outside the Directorate of School Education demanding regularization of their services.
ANATG officials said that till Tuesday evening there has been no response from the department or the Government and therefore they have decided to intensify the protest starting the second phase in the form of putting up banners and placards seeking early fulfillment of their demand.
ANATG officials also reaffirmed that they would continue with the agitation unless a written assurance is given by the Department of School Education.
