Kohima, June 20: Irked over not receiving any positive response from the State Government even on the third day of their agitation today, the All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers Group (ANATG) has intensified the dharna demanding immediate action.
ANATG convener Temsuchiba Aier said owing to the failure on the part of the authority to redress their sole demand seeking deliverance of justice by way of regularizing their service, the group today intensified the agitation by displaying placards and banners in front of the Directorate of School Education.
Some of the banners and placards read, “All norms fulfilled… fulfill our demand”, “We teach to make a difference, respect our rights”, “Regularization is the only solution for us”, “We don’t want excuses, we want results”.
Aier said that this is the second leg and if the Government continues to remain silent, they would start rigorous agitation till the demand is met.

Over a thousand ad-hoc teachers in the State, who appeared their suitability test on May 20 last year, launched their first phase of agitation outside the Directorate of School Education here on Monday.
ANATG officials said that there has not been any response from the department or the Government and therefore they intensified the protest today by putting up banners and placards seeking early fulfillment of their demand.
ANATG officials also reaffirmed that they would continue with the agitation unless a written assurance is given by the Department of School Education. (Page News Service)
