ACYA Khrietho Riilou begins

Dimapur, November 10: Khrietho Riilou 2018 under the aegis of Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA ) on the theme “Khrista la shieshiilie” commenced on Friday night at Don Bosco School in Sechii-Zubza. The competition will go on till November 11.
The three-day friendship meet is being hosted by Sechii-Zubza Catholic Youth Association (SZCYA) and co-sponsored by Nerhu Yuva Kendra (NYK) .
Kesosiil Christopher Ltu, President Naga Students’ Federation while exhorting the gathering informed that of late about 70, 000 have been registered as educated unemployed youths in the State.
Despite the growing rate of literacy in Nagaland being better than others, Ltu expressed regret that the educated and the qualified people were lagging behind neighboring states in the employment sector.
He asked the youths to ponder upon and retrospect the root cause of unemployment problem in the State.
The student activist also pointed out that despite of their manifold talents, the young generation were becoming lazy.
While citing an example of how Naga youths staying in places like Delhi or Assam purchase their own indigenous food and delicacies from non-local people, he said the Naga youth lack the idea and concept of business.
Ltu said that it is upon how one make use of his/her talents, capitalize it and promote it while adding that one should not be lazy as a Christian towards ons’s employment aspect.
The NSF president also reminded the youths to consider the Naga political issue as the dialogue for the “common cause” is going on.
Earlier, Northern Angami Catholic Youth Association (NACYA) and Kohima Town Angami Catholic Youth Association (KTACYA) bagged first and second position respectively in the choral competition.
Later, the participants also attended the “adoration/rosary.”
About 300 participants from the five regions – Kohima Town Angami Catholic Youth Association, Western Angami Catholic Youth Association, Southern Angami Catholic Youth Association, Northern Angami Catholic Youth Association and Chakhro Angami Catholic Youth Association are competing in various sporting events, talent shows and singing.
