AAP Nagaland denies meeting NPF president

Dimapur, May 16: Reacting to press reports that the NPF president had a meeting with the two senior members of AAP Nagaland at his residence on May 10 to discuss on joining the party in the upcoming Lok Shaba election, the AAP Nagaland has denied that no members of AAP from the party office were sent to meet Dr Shurhozelie Liezetsu for the meeting.
In a rejoinder, the AAP Nagaland said it has no intention or interest to support either the NPF or NDPP in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. It clarified that the NPF had been indulging in corruption for the past 15 years and NDPP is in alliance with BJP, and both parties stand against the manifesto of the AAP.
“AAP Nagaland will not support or alliance with any political party that indulges in corruption,” it said.
AAP Nagaland in an executive meeting also suspended Akavi N Zhimomi (ex-candidate) for meeting Dr Liezietsu along with Sushil Kumar, a former AAP member.
Sushil Kumar had met Dr. Liezietsu individually with Akavi N Zhimomi (ex-candidate) without the consent of the party officers, it said.
Suspending Akavi N Zhimomi from the party till any further notification, the AAP Nagaland also warned Sushil Kumar that if any such activities occur in future in the name of the party, the house shall take any further action without prior notice.
Meanwhile the party wished all the political parties and the citizens of the State the very best in the upcoming Lok Shaba election. (Page News Service)
