AAP has not participated in NPF rally: Dr Amos

Dimapur, May 25: AAP Nagaland today clarified that it has not taken any decision to join the Naga People’s Front or participated in the NPF rally.
AAP Nagaland Convenor, Dr Amos Longkumer stated that Akavi Zhimomi had been moving around on his individual interest for personal benefits by meeting Dr Shurhozlie and joined the NPF rally, which was held in Dimapur on May 24.
AAP Nagaland informed the citizens of the State that there is no such Party Working President in AAP as per to the Constitution of the party and no existence of artificial State convener as claimed by Akavi Zhimomi.
However, the party acknowledged that Akavi is an ex-candidate of the party from Ghaspani I Constituency and any meeting or participations initiated by him with NPF and other political parties are for his personal interest and benefits.
Amos said that AAP Central body has no interest to participate in Lok Sabha by election and the same order has been given to AAP Nagaland. Therefore, the information of AAP Nagaland joining the NPF, which had been circulated in media, is an absurdity, he added.
It also clarified that AAP Nagaland has only one convener, Dr. S. Amos Longkumer and one Spokesperson, Dr. L. Chuhwanglim, who were directly appointed by the AAP central body on May 17, 2016 along with other 13 executive members and no further change has been made till today. Anyone who claims the position of convener and executive members of the party apart from the officially appointed body by the AAP central body, is ruining his/her own image before the common citizens to a larger platform and the party would not allow such individual to work in the party in the future, a press release issued by AAP convenor, Dr Amos said.
Dr Amos further urged the NPF to refrain from mentioning the AAP anywhere unless NPF has any official meeting with the party executives officially.
