Aadhar enrolment made mandatory for Nagaland Govt employees

Dimapur, June 19: The Government of Nagaland has made it mandatory for every State Government employees to enroll under Aadhar.
An office memorandum issued by State Chief Secretary on June 14 said this is in order to improve governance and increase the adoption of e-governance at all levels as well as to promote work culture among the Government employees.
The State Government has to utilize the full scope of information technology in improving overall governance and performance of the employees and also remove the bogus employees, the OM said.
In this connection, all departments have been requested to link the Aadhar number of each employee and seed the same to their respective personal files and Service Books for all categories of employees at the earliest.
Further, as per the decision taken by the Cabinet on March 8, all respective departments have been asked to ensure that the introduction of Aadhar enabled biometric attendance system for all Government employees. (Page News Service)
