9th Graduation Ceremony of FTC held

Dimapur, April 20: MLA YM Yollow Konyak on Friday said that the state needs such kind of person who can take it ahead and those who know and fear God.
He said the lack of better Christians is evident from the fact that despite of NBCC’s campaign for a clean election, the recently concluded election was far away from being clean.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of ‘9th Graduation Ceremony’ of Faith Theological College, here at Town Hall, Dimapur, Konyak said that the Naga society has become murky and unlike the previous times when the gentlest and best students were sent to study theology, today parents send those children to study theology who are poor in studies.
He said that the advent of Christianity among Nagas eradicated much evil practices like the culture of head-hunting but today there is a need for better Christians to take the state and country forward.
Guest speaker for the occasion Rev. C Lima Sangtam, vice president of CBCNEI in his address stressed on the need of being ready all the time for the graduating students to face any situation and take any opportunity to share the gospel.
A total of 29 students graduated this year from the college.
