73rd JSM conference held at Yimjenkimong village

Dimapur, February 3: The 73rd Jangpetkong Sensor Mungdang (Jangpetkong Citizens Forum Conference was held from January 31 to February 1 at Yimjenkimong village ,Mokokchung. Minister Higher & Technical Education, Temjen Inna Along Longkumer and Advisor Law &Justice, Border Affairs, Treasuries & Accounts Dr Longrineken graced the conference as the special guests.
On the inaugural night, Temjen Inna Along Longkumer asserted that the Jangpetkong range has the potentials to lead forward in every field. He called upon the gathering to rededicate themselves for the upliftment of Naga society in general. He also urged upon them to shun the practices of blaming one another which would only bring about disunity among the communities.
Earlier, Presidential address was delivered by President Jangpetkong Sensor Mungdang (JSM) Nungsangtoshi and exhortation was given by Limameren Longshore Ex GB. Presentation of folk song by Jangpetkong Sensor Telongjem was the highlight of the opening programme.
On the second day, Chief Secretary &Finance Commissioner, Temjen Toy IAS spoke on the topic “An authentic and upright society”. While stressing on issues like the ill effects of illegal mining, misuse of social media, the Chief Minister urged upon the gathering not to be satisfied with our past glory but to emulate from the good example set by our ancestors.
Earlier, exhortation speech was delivered by Dr. Panger Longchar and folk song was also presented by Khar village Council.
Later on the day, Advisor Law &Justice, Border Affairs, Treasuries &Accounts, Dr Longrineken, who also graced as the special guest highlighted the various programmes and developments that has been implemented in the subdivision and also shared some of his visions of economic prosperity of the area.
The following office bearers for the next tenure were nominated: Nungsangtoshi-President; Purtoshi-Vice President; Chubatemsu-General Secretary and Limsunep-Assistant General Secretary. (Page News Service)
