66th KVSA Meet 2024 concludes

66th KVSA Meet 2024 wrestling winners with officials on January 20

Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü is wrestling champion

Kohima, January 20: Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü from D.Khel today emerged as the wrestling champion of the 66th Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) Meet 2024, held at Kewhimia Ground, Ziekezou, Kohima.
Menuosetuo Yiese, also from D.Khel stood 1st runner up while Khrietsonyü Whuorie (T.Khel) and Vizakietuo Suohu (T.Khel) bagged 3rd and 4th position respectively.
D. Khel emerged as the Team Winner in wresting while P. Khel stood runner-up.
In Cross Country Race (Men), Kevise Belho (T. Khel) bagged the first position while Kezhakhrietuo Mere (P. Khel), Thejangulie Sote (P. Khel) and Neilangulie Rutsa (P. Khel) stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
Women category: 1st – Neikesonuo Belho (T. Khel), 2nd – Vilesienuo Mepfhuo (L. Khel), 3rd – Kekhrielenuo Sachü (D. Khel) and 4th – Pelekhonuo Mepfhüo (L. Khel).
Earlier, K. Neibou Sekhose, executive member, All India Football Federation and president Nagaland Football Association graced the closing ceremony as the guest of honour.
66th KVSA Meet 2024 organizing committee convenor Dr. Richard Dziivichii chaired the closing ceremony while vote of thanks was proposed by 66th KVSA Meet 2024 organizing committee secretary Neikehetuo Kire.
T. Khel is overall champion

66th KVSA Meet 2024 overall champion T. Khel with trophies on January 20

T. Khel emerged the overall champion of 66th KVSA Meet 2024.
It bagged a total of 47 medals (25 Gold, 13 Silver and 9 Bronze).
L. Khel secured 40 medals (14 Gold, 18 Silver and 8 Bronze), D. Khel- 28 medals (8 Gold, 13 Silver and 7 Bronze) and P. Khel- 21 medals (7 Gold, 10 Silver and 4 Bronze).
Neiketoulie Belho and Dziesengunuo Solo bagged 4 Gold and 1Silver each during the weeklong 66th KVSA Meet 2024 and declared as men’s individual champion and women’s individual champion respectively.
Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) hosted the meet, which commenced on January 13 last.
