
Kohima, January 21: The 65th edition of Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) organized by Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) extended solidarity to the victims of Oting incident.
In a botched operation on December 4 at least 13 civilians, including six coal mine workers were gunned down by security forces in Mon district of Nagaland.
Expressing sadness over the lost of innocent lives, the players of the football final match of the 65th KVSA Meet – Lhisemia Khel and Tsütuonuomia Khel along with the KVYO officials and match referee stood together with a banner in camaraderie with the victims.
“Oting: We mourn with you, we feel your pain… You are not alone” read the message in the solidarity banner.
Playing the final match, T Khel defeated L Khel by a solitary goal scored by Medoneituo Sekhose in the last minute of the game to emerge as the champion of the KVSA meet.
