607 samples from Nagaland tested negative for COVID-19

Dimapur, April 25: Out of a total of 613 suspected COVID-19 samples sent for testing from Nagaland so far, 607 have tested negative while results of 6 samples are awaited.
This was informed by Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha, IAS in a briefing on COVID-19 status of Nagaland as on April 25.
On the law and order situation, Sinha informed that 4 violations of lockdown were reported in the State on Saturday and 4 persons were bound down in this connection. However, no law and order incident was reported in any part of the State.
On essential goods, he informed that groceries and other food shops including milk shops were open in all the districts except in Wokha. Medicinal shops continue to remain open in all the districts of the State. He said there are no report of shortage of food and other essentials in any part of the State.
Sinha said no restriction was imposed on the movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers in the State. Suitable arrangements have been made in Dimapur, Mon, Peren and Wokha for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by the COVID-19 restrictions, he added. (Page News Service)
