Kohima, November 8: The fifth edition of Global Leadership Summit (GLS) Kohima on the theme ‘Everyone has influence’ will be held on November 9 and 10 at Union Baptist Church (UBC), Kohima.
GLS is a leadership training held in the US which is conducted in other countries via video cast. In India, 70 summits are held every year in 40 cities with over 22,000 leaders attending the summit. It is also held in seven different languages in India.
Addressing a press conference at UBC here, Convenor of organizing committee, Rev. Dr. Rachülie Vihienuo informed that 200 participants are expected this year. Stating that GLS started in the US in 1992, he said the summit is now a global movement which has inspired and motivated many in their workplaces and positively impacted the community.
This year’s GLS in Kohima will video cast nine world leaders in various fields namely Craig Groeschel (Co-founder & Senior Pastor, Life Church), Danielle Strickland (Pastor and Author of Justice Advocate), Danny Meyer (Restaurateur, Time Magazine’s 100 Most influential people), Juliet Funt (Recognised Consultant, Speaker and Founder of Whitespace at work), T.D Jakes (Founder and Senior Pastor, The Potter’s House), Carla Harris (Vice Chairman, Managing Director and Senior Client Advisor at Morgan Stanley), Rasmus Ankersen, (Best Selling author, Entrepreneur), Erwin Mcmus (Author, Futurist, Founder of Mosaic Los Angeles), and Simon Sinek (New York Times Bestselling Author, Optimist).
The registration for the summit has been fixed at Rs 800 on November 8 and 9 while for team registration (group of 6), one seat will be free, the organizers informed, adding that options are also open for one day participation where interested persons can pay per day. Registration forms will be available at UBC, Kohima and Ozone Café from 10 am to 5 pm while online registration can also be made at www.glsindialive.com.
