Dimapur, July 21: A 5-year old girl has tested positive for Covid-19 in Dimapur after staying for 9 days in a paid quarantine with the family members.
The status of the minor girl was also confirmed by a medical official today.
According to sources, a family of 5 persons had returned to Dimapur from Assam and on reaching Dimapur they had put up in a paid quarantine facility in one of the reputed hotels in Dimapur. After nine days of their stay in the hotel, the youngest child, a 5-year old girl tested positive for COVID-19 while four other family members tests returned negative. The minor girl was soon transferred to COVID Care for further treatment with her mother, who volunteered to look after her daughter in the COVID Care.
Sources said that the family had come to Dimapur on July 10 and on the 9th day, the family came to know from the hospital authorities that their youngest child has tested positive for COVID, while other 4 members tested negative.
Source also said that the minor girl is asymptomatic.
