DIMAPUR, JULY 7: The Special Operation Team (SOT) of Dimapur police, while conducting surveillance, acted on a verbal information that some armed miscreants were threatening and extorting from a petrol pump near Hotel Theja Fort.
The SOT team acted swiftly during which one white Scorpio bearing registration NL01P 0205 was intercepted near that area.
In this connection five persons were arrested who have been identified as Asuka, Akheto, Mikato, Toto and Puloto and on search, police recovered one toy pistol which was used in the commission of crime and 8 smart phones from their possession.
The apprehended persons along with the seized items and vehicle were produced and handed over to East PS and FIR was lodged by the aggrieved party for the commission of crime.
