United FC, Khriekesa FC, Zunheboto RSU FC and Naga Terriers win
Kohima, September 11: United Football Club Phek, Khriekesa FC Meriema, Zunheboto Range Students Union FC and Naga Terriers today registered win in their respective matches of the ongoing 4th edition of Capt. N. Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament here.
United FC defeated Fountain Lad FC, Tuensang 3-1 in the first match at Kohima Local Ground.
Kozo found the first lead for United FC in the 7th minute but their happiness didn’t last long as Lunso found the equalizer for Fountain Lad FC in the 15th minute to end the first half in 1-1 goal draw. After the lemon break, Kozo scored his second goal and the lead for United FC in 55th minute while Sieketou confirmed the win with the third goal in the 60th minute.
In the second match, Khriekesa FC overpowered One-Ten FC Wokha 4-1.
Khwetelhi Thopi scored a hat-trick for the winners with his goals coming in 38th, 72nd and 75th minutes of play. Nzauhut added another goal for the team in the 69th minute.
One-Ten FC managed to find the face saver through Kwang in the 65th minute.
Playing at Tsiese Basa ground, Naga Terriers blanked Tizit Tornado 5-0. Chingsha Phom scored hat-trick for Naga Terriers as he netted the goals in 9th, 46th and 63rd minutes of play.
T. Khampei and Medo Angami netted a goal each for the team in the 58th and 76th minute respectively.
In the second match, Zunheboto Range Students Union FC won against Victorious FC, Phek 3-2.
Victorious FC scored first in the 9th minute through Kuveto Keyho but Rito Zhomo found the equalizer for Zunheboto RSU in 33rd minute while Tovito Shohe gave them the lead in 41st minute. However, Kukhruba Keyho found the equalizer for Victorious with the next two minute. It was Itoka Yeptho sealing the win for Zunheboto RSU with the third goal in 80th minute.
