Dimapur, April 1: Forty violations of lockdown were reported across Nagaland on April 1 and 49 persons were arrested for the violation. A total of 40 FIRs were lodged in this connection.
However, no law and order incidents were reported in the State, informed Nagaland Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, IAS.
On the supply of essential goods and services, he said shops for food grains and groceries were opened in all the districts except in Dimapur, where total lockdown is in place till April 3. Shops were regulated in Mokokchung and in Kiphire, where shops open only on alternate days.
Shops for milk and medicine were also opened in all the districts other than Dimapur. No shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine has been reported in the State, he said.
Sinha said no restrictions were imposed the on movement of commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities and service providers like electricity, telecommunication, fuels etc. in the State. In Dimapur, restriction was imposed on the movement of e-commerce agents.
