4810 kg of perishable goods ferried via Air cargo service

Dimapur, April 20: The Department of Horticulture has informed that as of March 31, 2021, a total of 4810 kg of perishable commodities have been dispatched through air cargo service at Dimapur Airport.
Both Air India and Indigo Airlines have agreed to carry 2000 kg each per day as cargo from Dimapur Airport to different destinations within the country, it stated.
Air cargo facility at Dimapur Airport was officially flagged off by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on March 2. According to the department, the launch of air cargo service was the outcome of persistent efforts for more than a year by the officials of Airport Authority of India, Dimapur along with the Department of Horticulture.
