44th KSU general conference held



Dimapur, January 4: The 44th Kiruphema Students’ Union general conference was held today at Kiruphema Bawe with Rüüvisie Kehie, Scientific Technical Assistant-B, National Informatics Centre (NIC) as special guest.
Rüüvisie Kehie said entrepreneurship development is one of the most important in the present situation as people may have skills but it requires polishing and incubation. “Entrepreneurship is rapidly becoming one of the most dynamic forces in Nagaland economy. A flurry of local entrepreneurs has emerged to tackle the market demands and create a self-sustaining economy that also generates more employment opportunities,” he said.
Kehie also encouraged students to focus on tourism. He also urged students not sell themselves but to initiate on clean election and clear governance for brighter future “so we can triumph over the present deplorable road condition, scarcity of water supply and half finished development.”
On a talk on Article 371 (A), a briefing was presented by Adv. Sedevilie Angami, president DNSU.
Meanwhile the new team of KSU office bearers for 2020-2021 will be lead by Keneivitso Suohumvü as president and Keneizekho Kruneilie as general secretary.
The conference witnessed presentation of meritorious award to students in different categories: Rokoneino Hesielie was awarded in extempore speech and Ketouvikho Yavio was awarded in debate under the topic ‘Citizenship Amendment Act’. (Page News Service)
