4 students drown at Zingki River


Kohima, April 25: In a tragic incident, four boys were drowned at Zingki River near Kiphire town Thursday afternoon. The victims were all students who went for picnic this morning at around 7 am.
The dead bodies of the four boys were fished out from the river at around 1:30 pm this afternoon with the help of public.
According to sources, the incident took place some 22 km away from Kiphire town near Quarry Road, Zingki River.
The victims have been identified as Tsikhali from Seyochung village and studying in Class-12 in Greenwood Higher Secondary School, Dimapur; Suliba from Changchor village and studying in Class-12 at Chandmari Higher Secondary School, Kohima; Azise of Seyochung village, a Class-10 student of Loyala School, Kiphire and Apili of Thangthur village, a student of Class-12 of Model Higher Secondary School Kohima.
After all formalities by the police, the dead bodies were handed over to the relatives.
