Dimapur, July 22: Four Nagaland Police personnel from West Police Station reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.
According to sources, the tests were conducted on TrueNat which came out positive, after which samples were sent to BSL-2 Lab.
Following the detection of Covid1- positive cases amongst police personnel, the West Police Station was barricaded and entry of people was restricted.
“As a precautionary measure the general access to West Police Station will be partially restricted in view of the preliminary detection of 4 suspect Covid case among the Staff,” Dimapur police tweeted.

Meanwhile, two railway officials from the Parcel Department at Dimapur Railway Station have also tested positive for Covid-19 and have been sent to COVID Hospital.
Sources from the Railway informed that the railway officials had complained of fever and other health issues on Saturday after which they were sent for COVID testing. The results of two officials returned positive for COVID.
With the detection of the positive cases amongst the Railway Staff, contact tracing has been initiated vigorously. Both are residents of Railway Colony Dimapur.
