Dimapur, August 4: Dimapur police on Wednesday arrested one Kilemtoshi Ao (31) on charges of extortion from vehicles in L.R.C colony, near DMC toll gate, and recovered Rs 3000 from his possession.
In this connection a case has been registered at West Police Station, Dimapur.
Earlier on August 2, Dimapur police arrested one Elithung Lotha (42), ‘ss’ Dy.Kilonser of NPGN/NNC (NA)on charges of extortion in Supermarket area, near Essar Petrol Pump, and recovered/seized the following incriminating documents from his possession -2 note pad (tax demand slip – NPGN/NNC(N/A); 2 note pad budget order allotment NPGN-NNC (N/A) Ministry of Home Affairs; 2 tax slip NPGN/NNC(N/A); one mobile handset and Rs 2150.
In this connection a case has been registered at East Police Station, Dimapur.
On July 31, Dimapur police arrested two persons namely Nito Aye (27), ‘ss’ 2nd Lieut NSCN K(Nikki) and Rolax Aye (38), ‘ss’ Leacy NSCN K(Nikki) on charges of extortion in Burma Camp area and recovered/seized the following items from their possession – 3 tax slip (cash receipt) – NSCN/GPRN(K); one tax slip – NPGN(NNC/NA); 5 tax slip – GPRN Ministry of Chaplee Affairs; one note pad and 2 mobile phones.
In this connection a case has been registered in East Police Station, Dimapur.
Vehicle recovered
In connection with a case registered in Pan-Bazaar P.S Guwahati, Dimapur police on Wednesday recovered one vehicle (Maruti Swift) from Niuland area, Dimapur. The recovered car was subsequently handed over to the rightful owner in presence of Assam police. (Page News Service)
